Interesting Landscape Gardening Trends
Monday, 9 June 2008
Reading up on some recent posts on landscaping websites I found some predictions on up and coming popular trends and I wanted to mention a couple of ones that struck me as interesting.
1. Formal Lawns - A tidy traditional garden that signals the time for garden owners to get their mowers out on sunny afternoons.
2. Vegetables - A popular and necessary addition to a 70s garden but they went through a stage of being viewed as a little old fashioned. Revival is at hand and young couples are likely to start embracing self-sufficiency soon enough!
3. Recycling - Now is the time to start thinking about giving back to the environment. With the 'charge as you throw' culture slowly creeping in we're likely to find new and innovative gadgets to improve the environment
4. Furniture - On the furniture front, traditional canvas seaside deckchairs will takeover from expensive hardwood and if you are able to master putting one up it will make for a very enjoyable sleepy afternoon.
